O'Malley is known for New Girl (2011), Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000) and Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. (2021). She has been married to Windy Morgan Bunts since 26 June 2004. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Producers Guild of America. On April 24, 2023, O'Malley revealed that she is great friends with Gene Luen Yang, who wrote graphic novel.[2]
