History[]

Season 1[]

In What Guy Are You, Amelia runs into Jin Wang, as they are both looking for new clothes for the upcoming return to school. She simply smiles and calls him "Hot stuff". Which leads Jin to realize that it is due to a cartoon chili pepper on his jacket with this phrase and immediately discards it. Later, Jin goes to his science class where he runs into Amelia and the two of them seem to hit it off. They are about to pair off as lab partners, when Principal Finney comes in asking for Jin, and while he is out, Amelia is forced to pair up with another boy. At lunch, Wei-Chen tells Jin that he should talk to Amelia, though the teen admits he is nervous to talk to her. When Jin tries to ask Amelia to hang out with her, she agrees to hang out, but only as "buds" and nothing more.

In A Monkey on a Quest, Amelia and her friend Ruby talk to Jin and empathize with his predicament where he once again attempts to blow it off, only for the Culture Club to make a demonstration in the cafeteria about Jin and out Greg as the culprit behind the video.

In Rockstar Status, Amelia is in attendance at the same part Jin is at, and the two teens briefly talk. She manages to inform him that the other guys plan to do something with him. But can't say more beyond that.

In Make a Splash, Amelia asks Jin the next day in class how he managed the TPing of the rival school's mascot.

In Abracadabra, Amelia and Jin have grown closer; so much so, that during their study date for their biology class, Amelia introduces Jin to her incredibly happy family. Later, Amelia is noticeably irritated by her mother. While up in her room, Amelia admits to Jin that she sometimes cannot stand how her mother acts around people as she is too nice and sometimes wishes she could say something mean.

In Hot Stuff, Amelia finds out from Jin at school, that he and Wei-Chen's had a falling out. The other teen accidentally lets her know that it is his birthday. Not wanting it to go unnoticed, Amelia offers to invite him to the local bowling alley to celebrate and even opts to invite some of their friends over. As a gift, Amelia gives Jin the hoodie he wore when they met at the store early in the year. Then during the party, Wei-Chen arrives, and Amelia confesses to Jin that she invited him so the two boys could hash it out and possibly make up. In the end, Amelia is happy to see that Jin enjoyed himself.

In Beyond Repair, Amelia and Jin's friendship hits a rough patch, when he struggles to balance his normal life, and the more fantastical elements.

In The Fourth Scroll, as Anuj, Wei-Chen and Jin arrive to search for Niu Mowang, Amelia stops Jin by telling him she wants to speak privately with him. She admits that she does not feel right being just "buds" and has started to feel saddened when he is not around. Realizing that they like each other, Jin and Amelia share a kiss before Jin has to go prepare for the big fight.
